Hydropneumatic Fender Installation:
Introduction:
Designed for submarines, hydropneumatic fender is a special version of pneumatic fender. The typical feature of this kind of fender is the adjustable initial pressure, water to air ratio and ballast weight to fit for the hull curvature sensitivity of the latest submarines.
By changing the initial pressure, water to air ratio, the performance of hydropneumatic fender also changes accordingly. This feature makes the fender applicable for many other vessels. Equipped with a counterweight, hydropneumatic can keep in a vertical position, so that the submarines and vessels whose contact line is below the water can be protected. Catamarans, semi-submersible platforms, and drilling rigs are typical applications for hydropneumatic fenders.
