Yokohama Fender, also called pneumatic fender, is one of the most effective fenders in the world. Filled with air or hydrogen, the fenders can float on the water along with the rise and fall of the sea level. The size 1200×2000 of Yokohama fenders stands for the fenders with the diameter of 1200mm and the length of 2000mm.
Yokohama fenders can be equipped with outer protection layer. This layer can reduce the damage to the fender body so that the lifespan of the fenders can be extended. When working, Yokohama fenders are filled with air or hydrogen. However, when packing, the fenders can be deflated for delivery.
To make the fenders endure large impacts, the Yokohama fenders are manufactured with high-quality rubber material. The reinforced and elastomeric rubber material can provide high energy absorption and low reaction force. The fenders can even absorb large shear forces.
Both sides of the Yokohama can be connected with chains, whose another ends can be fixed onto the dock structures. In this way, the fenders can move in certain area and the vessels and docks structures can be protected on berthing process.
