Super cell rubber fender is a well established fender type. The fender is designed like a drum with hollow cylindrical body with rubber-embedded mounting flanges. The fender will deflect in an axial direction. Originally it was designed to replace cylindrical fender. Until now, it has decades of track record with only some minor improvements over the years. The best rubber fender product improved from cell fender is the cone rubber fender. With more reasonable physical structure, the cone fenders can provide better performance, but at the same time, the cell fenders still take their place.
Most cell fenders are designed to be large in size. The smallest standard sizes of cell fenders are SC400, SC500, SC630(for other detailed sizes and information, please refer to super cell type rubber fender). These sizes make the cell fenders can fit for some small dock structures.
