M rubber fenders are manufactured with high-quality rubber materials, similar to the letter M in profile. People may mix them up with W rubber fenders. If we put them together, you will easily find out that each M rubber fender has one more “leg” than W rubber fenders.
The model M240 is the smallest standard size of M rubber fenders. They have been designed into two different dimensions. M rubber fenders are usually used as tugboat fenders. They can be mounted onto the bows and sterns of the boat hulls to provide a daily protection for boats. As the smallest ones, M240 rubber fenders are designed for some smaller ships. They can effectively prevents the ships from wear-resistance and absorb the extra impacts from berthing.
The installation of M rubber fenders is a little bit different from other extruded rubber fenders. To install them onto the boats, special designed steel frames are needed. The frames are combined with steel bars and steel rod pins. They can be pre-curved to fit for the shape of bows and sterns of the ships.
