Pivot Fenders

Pivot fenders are economic solution to the parallel motion fender types of application. They normally feature long-legged panel, which are fixed in a box at the seabed. When the ship is berthing, pivot fenders can move in parallel to reduce impact forces. The pivot fenders will rotate and follow the ship’s berthing angle as the parallel motion will do. Due to this feature, regardless of the contact point between the vessel and the panel, the rubber units can absorb the full berthing energy. Nevertheless, the reaction force generated by the pivot fender will vary depending on the contact point.
