Cylindrical rubber fenders are popular around the world. They are manufactured by molding, extruding or warping methods with a simple hollow cylindrical profile. To adjust the ratios of the fenders’ inner diameter to the outer diameter, the physical performance can be changed. The standard ratio is 1:2 or 1:1.75, which can provide best energy absorption capability for fenders with about 50% compressive deflection.
Wide range of sizes are available including the lengths. They are basically enough for most of the large docks and terminals to prevent the structures and vessels from damage.
Many installation methods are available including suspending with chains, steel bars, mounting vertically or horizontally. Auch, because of the simple profile, the fenders are easy to install and maintain, which can save a lot of costs. Cylindrical fenders have become the ideal fender solutions for many cases.
