Barge, Workboat, Scow Laminated Fenders

Barge, workboat, scow laminated fenders are made of reinforced rubber and manufactured in any size and shape to fit around the corners. They can be staggered horizontally and/or vertically to fit the sides or rake ends of a barge or workboat. For barge, workboat and scow, the rectangular or D-guard laminated fenders are frequently used to solve the fendering problem- in length up to 20′. The rubber laminates are compressed onto steel rods and weld tabs. For the mounting methods, the laminated rubber sections can be welded, bolted, or chain-hung to the bulwarks of the vessels. The special feature of this type of laminated fenders is that this fender is designed in standardized lengths so that the damaged sections can be easily removed without affecting the “healthy” rubber sections.
