The model 1080×460 is the smallest standard size of roller fenders, with the diameter of 1080mm and the thickness of 460mm. The roller fenders are relatively large compared with other fixed fenders. Other dimensions are also available on request.
The main part of roller fenders is the rubber roller. This roller is made of high-quality rubber material. This ensures that the rubber roller can endure large impact force. The rubber roller is mounted onto an fixed axle supported by a special designed steel frame. The frame can be easily installed onto the dock structures. On the berthing process, the rubber roller can rotate in a radius around the axle. Thus the friction and impacts can be reduced.
Roller fenders are usually used as the guide fenders for berthing. They are set at the entrance of inland waterway channel, helping to change the vessels move towards the right direction. They are frequently applicable for entrance to locks, dry docks and other narrow or exposed areas and dock corners.
